Eligibility

To be eligible for SDA you must

  • You must have an extreme functional impairment or very high support needs

  • You must meet NDIS and SDA criteria

  • You are aged between 18 and 64

  • You use a wheelchair

  • You are an NDIS participant or waiting to be one

  • You need special features like a modified bathroom and ceiling hoists in your home

  • you need 6 or more hours of support a day

  • You need back up support to be available 24 hours of the day

  • You have, or are likely to have, SDA funding in your NDIS plan

Approved funding is only available through your NDIS plan.  SDA funding only covers housing and is paid directly to the SDA provider.  

​

You will still be responsible for paying rent and regular living expenses.
