I started working at Wyndarra in 2002 firstly as a casual then moved into the Connections Coordinator position.

During my time working in Connections I had some great fun exploring the Circular head area and travelling over the hill. I was lucky to work with amazing volunteers and support staff during this time. Long term regulars being Judy, Terry, Paul and Glenys, Donna, Lynn, Noelene, Cindy, Alison, Craig, Kay, Marj and the notorious Barry King.

My working career then developed into full time employment working in Home and Community Care, Commonwealth Home Support, Supported Housing Services and Personal and Family Counselling.

I was able to walk beside community members supporting them through both joyous times and times when they needed that little bit of extra care for whatever reason. I was able to develop my own style of supporting people and have been able to grow as a person along these life journeys that I have been privileged to share.

I retire with the hope that Wyndarra will be able to maintain its core values and flexibility within the confines of increasing restrictions from government funding to continue to support the community of Circular Head with both kindness and dignity.
