What is Specialist Disability Accommodation

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a type of NDIS -funded housing for people with high support needs.  These specially designed homes support greater independence, while still enabling access to care and support.

SDA properties come in four categories

• Improved Liveability - Open plans, minimal stairs

• Fully Accessible - Designed for ease of movement

• Robust -  Strong, low maintenance housing

• High Physical Support -  Designed with extra physical features like ceiling hoists, assistive technology or back up power supply

SDA gives people with a disability real choice in how and where they live.
